Fire and Ice by by Nancy Gerber

The rifts and reconnections between a mother and daughter seeking common ground, the confusion of adolescence, the bittersweet pangs of watching a child grow up and leave home – these are among the themes explored in this carefully wrought collection. In an interweaving of poetry and prose, Nancy Gerber explores the search for identity, the yearning for connection, the desire for meaning amidst chaos and uncertainty. With humor and pathos, she maps the journey from childhood to mid-life, marking the places where we are scorched by love’s fire and chilled by its loss.
